Students often see the SSTC, ITS, and the Library as the same unit, but we all work together to get students to the right service point to meet their needs. As tutors, you are often the first person students see to get help. We need your assistance to get your peers to the right resource.
Just like you have developed strategies for assisting others in a subject, the library faculty also have expertise but in research and information literacy development. Research goes well beyond where to click in databases. Sometimes, assignments are deceptively easy, and we have strategies to help students think through the process and know what questions to ask.
Just like we refer students to the SSTC, please also refer students to the library faculty for research needs. In a lot of ways, you are Library ambassadors!
