Communication: Getting Research Help

Important Note for Fall 2023

The library faculty do not advise that you rely on permalinks in Fall 2023.

  • The library database authentication process is changing between October and November, so all URLs to databases, along with permalinks to articles, will be changing.
  • Database links and permalinks to articles or eBooks saved in August and September will eventually stop working between October and November.
  • You will have to find articles again to find the new permalinks after November 30.
  • We have no way of helping you find the articles again if you do not have any information about the articles, such as the titles.
  • Instead of relying on the permalink alone, please fully download and/or email all of your articles to yourself this semester.
  • If a link to a database does not work in this guide, please visit the full list of databases on the library website to find it in the alphabetical listing.

Requesting Materials from Other Libraries

If there is a book or an article that the library does not own or have access to through the databases, we can ask another library to send us the book or the article through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Textbooks are excluded from ILL services.
