  • Start with EBSCOhost Web (all databases) and JSTOR.
    • The cross-search for all the EBSCO databases includes a specific history database, along with a military and government database, as well as all of the eBooks from EBSCO
  • These databases have a mixture of primary and secondary sources.

Ethnic Studies Databases

  • Think of African American Experience, American Indian Experience, Asian American Experience, and Latino American Experience each as individual electronic encyclopedias.
    • These also contain digitized primary documents, images, etc.

News Databases

  • In addition to news, NexisUni has court opinions, but a lot of that you can also find for free online.

Other Reference and eBook Databases

  • EBSCO eBooks contains both encyclopedias and other types of scholarly books.
  • Encyclopedia Britannica is one electronic encyclopedia.
  • Gale eBooks contains content from multiple electronic encyclopedias.
  • Salem Press is mostly made up of content from multiple electronic encyclopedias but also contains other types of books. 
  • Think of Pop Culture Universe as an individual electronic encyclopedia; it also has some primary sources.
