About Children's Books

There are a wide variety of children's books: picture books with no words, grade school books with complex and nuanced topics, young adult literature that even the savviets reader will love.

The purpose of a wide variety of children book choices is the "agency to read" and the belief that "every reader their book, and every book their reader".  Merced College strives to purchase and collect award winning children's resources, sources that support the curriculum, sources that promote equity and diversity, and sources that children find enjoyable.

If you have a suggestion for a book purchase, do not hesitate to contact a librarian.  We are appreciate your suggestions greatly!
