Request Materials from other Libraries (ILL): Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan or ILL for short, is the way that you can access resources from another library.

While we can often get articles emailed to us within a day or two, please plan on 5-7 days for ILL articles to be safe. Books may take longer as the lending library has to process the book and mail it to us before we can lend it to you.

Please be prepared with the full citation because citations that are not complete may delay or stop the ILL process if we can't figure out what you need.  We do not ILL textbooks and thesis can be very difficult to find.

If you have a hard time finding materials, please contact one of the Merced College Librarians at our email  refdesk@mccd.edu or contact us through our Library Website.

Requesting Materials from Other Libraries

If there is a book or an article that the library does not own or have access to through the databases, we can ask another library to send us the book or the article through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Textbooks are excluded from ILL services.
