  • For this assignment, you are to write an essay of at least 1250 words.
  • Early in the essay, summarize the text; do this in paragraph two and make sure the summary is no more than 250 words.
  • You will be required to incorporate three book reviews into your essay as well, all found from one of the library’s databases.
  • Any concept you cover or claim that you make must be supported by quotations and/or paraphrases.
  • All essays must use quotations, paraphrases, and in-text citations, follow MLA formatting, and include a works cited page.
  • Ultimately, you are assessing how well Walls has articulated her viewpoint about her upbringing considering both your reading of the memoir as well as what those who have reviewed her book have said. In other words, would you recommend the book to someone else?
  • If you have any questions, see Professor Daughdrill.
